Trowulan museum is an archaelogical museum located in Mojokerto, East Java. This museum has the largest collection of Majapahit kingdom relics in Indonesia. It also houses the artifacts and arcaelogical findings from Kahuripan, Kediri, and Singasari kingdoms of East Java from terracotta, ceramic, metal to stone artifacts.
Trowulan was the former capital of Majapahit kingdom, Indonesia's Hindu-Buddha largest kingdom. It covers the area of 9 km X 11 km. The museum site itself was part of the Majapahit capital. There are some sites in the museum that are sill being excavated. The excavation sites show that Majapahit had an established water system.
Unfortunately I was not allowed to take pictures in the air-conditioned rooms that store the jewelries, weapons, currency, toys, and other ornaments.
